Matthew 18:11, "For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost."Jesus came in this world to save those who are lost, Yes, those who are lost in sin. Who are separated from God because of Sin. Jesus told a parable saying in Matthew 18:12-14, "What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish."When Adam and Eve sinned against God, they had to leave the presence of God and their lives became miserable. Even today also we are in pain, sorrow and troubles because of the sin that entered in this world.Recent shootings in the Sikh Temple in Wisconsin and in the movie theater at Colorado are grim reminder of the fallen nature in human beings which prompts people to do wrong things. And the most tragic thing in Sikh Temple shooting was that two brothers came together in a car and as they were exiting from car both were shot and killed. What a tragedy it was! Why anybody should do this to others? But this is because of the sin nature or fallen nature which comes up now and then.But there is a way out. Jesus came in this world and died on our behalf to take away our sins. Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross so that we could have forgiveness of our sins and that we could be connected with God again and could have fellowship with God again. Today, we can have this wonderful and new life full of peace and joy because Jesus paid the price on the cruel cross.He came searching for us from all the way from heaven to this earth just in search of those who are lost in sin. Just as He told the parable, He did not come for those ninety nine people who did not need to be saved but He came for the one who was lost. He came for the one who is sick and who needed a physician. He wants us to acknowledge our sins and come at His feet so that our sins could be forgiven and we could get a new life.

This means that in most of the cases Holy Spirit's fullness is needed to receive revelations from Jesus on a regular basis. If you do not have visions, dreams and prophesy from God then most probably the reason may be that you do not have the fullness of Holy Spirit. For getting filled with Holy Spirit the other requirement is that you must be saved (washed by the blood of Jesus). If you are not saved you can't have the Holy Spirit. So if you do not have revelations from Jesus you need to assure whether you are saved and whether your sins are forgiven and washed away by the precious blood of Jesus. Salvation is the basic requirement and a very important step for any human being on this planet. It determines your very future and eternal destination. Without salvation NO ONE can ever enter into heaven. So this is very very important. I strongly urge every person to check their own life to see whether they have the assurance of a place in heaven, whether they are saved, whether their deeds are holy and whether they are doing things pleasing to the most Holy God Jesus. Ok now back to the point, most of the times visions and dreams are only given to the people whose sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus. Visions and dreams are wonderful gifts which come from the Holy Spirit and it has many benefits. We have looked at many of them in the past issues. Visions and dreams are given for our own benefits also. It helps us to save ourselves from the cheating and deception of people. 1. Visions and dreams for protection from deception and cheating:On issue 8, I had written the story of one of the girls whom I was in contact with. She was a new believer. So she didn't wait to know the will of God for her marriage and that one misstep brought her to disaster. It was sad that she was cheated by her own close family friend who brought the proposal for the marriage. He told them that the boy is good looking, in good job, earns good money and is from a good family. But he didn't tell them that he was an atheist, heavy drinker and had bad company of friends with whom he partied till late night. That's how people cheat and lives are ruined. But if you have visions and dreams and if you know how to hear the voice of Jesus, life becomes much easier and happier. You can escape from such deceptions. Bible says that Holy Spirit who is our helper and comforter tells us the things He sees. He tells us the things which is coming in our life whether good or bad. That's why visions and dreams are given to us and it is important. John 16:13 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:14 "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you." Once my sister saw a very bad and offensive dream and in her dream she saw that she got a marriage proposal from her uncle (mom's brother). She was so offended and embarrassed by this dream. When bad dreams come we can easily decide that it came from the devil. So when she shared it I thought in the same way. Then around 11 in the morning our phone rang and my brother talked to the caller. Then later he told about the marriage proposal which just came in. They never told the age of the boy. When my mom heard about it she knew the family of the boy and she said, "I believe he is pretty old may be 15-20 years older." Then only we realized about the dream which my sister saw in the night. It is amazing how Jesus loved us so much that He didn't want us to go through the cheating of others. So even before it came Jesus revealed it through dream about what was coming. Jesus knows even before things form in the minds of people. Jesus knows everything and the blessed Holy Spirit reveals those things to His children. Isn't it wonderful? Jesus wants to protect us from the deception of people. If you are in personal relationship with Jesus and are filled with Holy Spirit you can escape from many heart aches and troubles. Visions and dreams are wonderful additions in our life and it is given for our benefit. In the Bible we read the story of Isaac and his wedding. It looks that God of the Bible Himself chose the right girl for Isaac. Bible says that Abraham his father sent his servant to his native place to find a suitable girl for his son. Bible doesn't talk much about the man who went to look for the girl. But it looks that he was a man of prayer. It looks that he did each step after praying and knowing the will of God. The story goes on like this:Genesis 24:37 "Now my master made me swear, saying, 'You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell;Genesis 24:38 'but you shall go to my father's house and to my family, and take a wife for my son.' He comes to Abraham's native place which was far away and when he gets there he prays something like this:Genesis 24:42 "And this day I came to the well and said, 'O LORD God of my master Abraham, if You will now prosper the way in which I go,Genesis 24:43 'behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass that when the virgin comes out to draw water, and I say to her, "Please give me a little water from your pitcher to drink,"Genesis 24:44 'and she says to me, "Drink, and I will draw for your camels also,"; let her be the woman whom the LORD has appointed for my master's son.'It looks that his prayer was answered and the girl did the same thing which he asked for in his prayer.Genesis 24:45 "But before I had finished speaking in my heart, there was Rebekah, coming out with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down to the well and drew water. And I said to her, 'Please let me drink.'Genesis 24:46 "And she made haste and let her pitcher down from her shoulder, and said, 'Drink, and I will give your camels a drink also.' So I drank, and she gave the camels a drink also.Then we read that this man comes to the girl's house and the girl's family also realized that it was according to God's will:Genesis 24:50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, "The thing comes from the LORD; we cannot speak to you either bad or good.Genesis 24:51 "Here is Rebekah before you; take her and go, and let her be your master's son's wife, as the LORD has spoken."Genesis 24:52 And it came to pass, when Abraham's servant heard their words, that he worshiped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.The rest of the story you all know. Rebecca gets married with Isaac as was led by God and their lives were happy and prosperous. God led them as recorded in the Bible for their wedding and He still leads people if they are willing to know the will of God. God speaks to us through dreams and visions to protect us from deception of people. Not only that, but God protects us from going in the wrong direction. You can have visions, dreams and prophesies. As you got saved by asking for the forgiveness of your sin, in the same way you can ask for Holy Spirit and you can receive Holy Spirit and can have these blessed and wonderful experiences too. When we hear from God and do things in compliance to His will it fills our life with untold joy and happiness. My family and I had hundreds of such wonderful revelations, dreams and visions which led us so far and it brought such a great joy and protection in our family. May Jesus help you to receive all the gifts which are described in the Bible and which God intends to give.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it."
