In the last few weeks we have seen the reason for David and Solomon's fall. Today I am going to show you about the fall of Saul. Saul was a man chosen by God to rule Israel. But he could not stay faithful to God nor did he repent from his sins and his end was so tragic.In the Bible we read in 1 Chronicles 10:13-14, "So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. But he did not inquire of the LORD; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse."1. Unfaithfulness toward God2. Contacting mediums (witch-doctor)3. Rejecting the word of GodThe first reason for his fall was that he was unfaithful to God because he did not keep the word of the LORD. He did not do what God asked him to do and instead of obeying the word of God he did something which was against God's will. God sent him to do something and he came back doing something else. In short his heart was not loyal to the Lord. He was not willing to do what God wanted him to do. Some times people backup from their commitment to God because of problems and tragedies they face in their lives. Sometimes when their prayers were not answered, they would say, "We prayed so much but God did not answer our prayers. So we are not going to follow Jesus any more." Once a person whom I know told me that she and her friends prayed a lot for a matter and they believed that God was leading them in the same direction. But when they went in that direction, it led to complete disaster. It broke her heart and she was so upset that she was even cursing Jesus. A person who was saved yet could not stand in the ways of God.Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 2:12, "If we endure, We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us."The second reason for Saul's fall was that he consulted a medium for guidance. But he did not inquire of the LORD. Yes, Bible clearly tells us that practicing witchcraft or going to medium, to soothsayers and to witchdoctors for guidance are big sins. But Saul went to a medium to inquire whether he could win in the battle or not? And God did not like what Saul did.And there was another reason for Saul's fall. He rejected the word of the LORD as Samuel the prophet told Saul in 1 Samuel 15:23, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king."But if we love God with all our hearts, if we obey Him in every step, if we do according to His will, He will not allow us to stumble. Let us pray that we may never do the mistakes what Saul did. But before all these things, if you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, this is the time to invite Jesus in your heart and become His child as He said in John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:"If you have invited Jesus, you are His child and as you walk with Him, He will allow you to live a holy life and He will be your guard all the days of your life.

For ProtectionVisions and dreams are given not only for comfort, guidance but for protection too. We humans can understand many things but it has certain limits. You can't understand what is happening in other person's mind or what they are thinking about you. Bible says that Paul wanted to preach in Asia but Holy Spirit prevented him from going there but God revealed through vision that he can go to Macedonia. Acts 16:6 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia.Acts 16:7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.Acts 16:8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas.Acts 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."Acts 16:10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.God reveals things through visions and dreams. He reveals the plans of the enemy, satan and tells what he is planning against His children. God's plans are for protection but not for harm for His children.I would like to share one more dream with you. I remember an incident through which God revealed a certain thing that had never crossed in our minds. One day a person who was very friendly and who behaved very friendly asked my brother for a ride. He said that he needed to go somewhere a few weeks later and that he needed ride for that particular occasion. He asked my brother to mark the calendar to be sure that there is no other appointment that day." So my brother said, "Yes". Later on he reminded many times about this need to my brother and my brother gave him very positive assurance that he would go with him. More than a month passed by and finally the week arrived when my brother had to go with him. We didn't think anything about it so we were pretty ready for it, but the day before that date, I had a strange dream. In my dream I saw that I was standing on the first step of the staircase of my home which leads towards the basement. In my dream I was looking down and at the end of this stairs, in the basement this man was standing. He had big butcher knives and he was throwing it towards me. He was throwing them one after another and he threw several of them towards me. Then the dream ended. I was shocked and surprised. I told my brother about it and asked him to pray about it and find out if God had to convey some message through it. When my brother prayed about it, God revealed not to go with him and then my brother dropped the idea of going with him and conveyed his inability to go with him. Well till then we had no other opinion about him because we never suspected anything as he was very friendly. How many times we just look toward things which look pleasant from the outside and think about it as good while it turns out to be something else. Unless the Spirit of God reveals something, you and I can never know what is in the heart of a person.God reveals through dreams and visions such things for our protection. These dreams and visions bring protection in our life and it foils the plans of satan. These wonderful revelations from Jesus are freely available for His children. You don't need to do hard work to earn it. You just need to become His child by coming at His presence by repenting from your sin and by receiving the anointing of Holy Spirit you can tap into these wonderful experiences.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
