Now a days we hear the news of red colored rain falling from sky in Kerala. "Strange Mag" an internet magazine's editor Mark Chorvinsky said about red rain something like this, ' "Red rain" has sometimes been described as "blood rain." ' What is the reason for this rain? Indian scientists could not find an answer for this type of rain yet. Let us see what the Bible says about it? Bible tells us about the Israelites who were in bondage in Egypt and how God sent Moses to deliver them. Pharaoh did not allow them to go. We see that God's judgment came upon the on people who oppressed the Israelites. Exodus 7:17, "'Thus says the LORD: "By this you shall know that I am the LORD. Behold, I will strike the waters which are in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and they shall be turned to blood." And Exodus 7:20-21 says, "And Moses and Aaron did so, just as the LORD commanded. So he lifted up the rod and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants. And all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. The fish that were in the river died, the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink the water of the river. So there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt." Red rain is not a good sign but it is a reminder of the judgment of God on the people. We also read about the coming Judgment of God in Revelation 16:5-6, And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due." We know how much persecution is going on in India. They are searching for believers and missionaries and killing them one by one. The whole world was stunned to see the cruelty when almost two years back Graham stain an Australian missionary and his two kids were burnt alive at Orissa. And persecution continued from north India to south India. In Gujarat, BJP, VHP, RSS and other Hindu extremist groups gave ultimatum to every Christian to renounce their faith or to be ready for being sacrificed on 26th Jan. 2001. They chopped the hands and legs of Christian missionaries and made them to walk naked on the streets of Gujarat. Last week our Bishop told like this, "Hindu extremists threatened them and said that they will remove every cross from Church buildings and will plant 'Trishul' (Fork like thing - a Hindu symbol) on Churches and put their idols in the altar of Churches on 28th Jan. 2001. They brought 3000 'Trishul' to do this. But more than 500 pastors gathered together fasted and prayed for a great deliverance. Oh, and 26th Jan. was the last day of their fasting. God heard the cry of these people and sent a great earthquake. Bhuj was leveled to the ground where most of the foreign money flooded to kill the Missionaries and Christians. And do you know what happened to these 500 pastors? The third floor of the building where they were praying came down to the ground as a lift and when all the 500 pastors came out of that building safely, the building also collapsed. My dear friend, it is not a joke to play with the All Mighty God. You are not doing it against the people but against God Himself who says in Zechariah 2:8, "...for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye." Yes, it is like touching the apple of the eye of God. If you are involved in these types of atrocities, get out of it otherwise destruction is awaiting you. You can not escape the judgment of God by torturing and killing God's people. In India they thought that by killing missionaries and Christians they will totally abolish Christianity from India but they could not stop it. Today, in the midst of persecution Christianity is flourishing like anything. Villages after villages are turning to Christ. Who can stop God and His work but if you are standing against the work of God, destruction is laying before you. But you can escape from God's judgment by repenting from your sins and wrong doings. You can come to the cross where the precious blood of Jesus was shed for you and for the whole world's sin. And you can receive your pardon. No matter what methods you used for destroying the work of God, whether it was direct involvement or indirect involvement, repent from your sins. Whether you did sorcery or witchcraft against God's people or tried to kill them or just encouraged people who were in this business, you need to repent today before God's judgment comes upon you. Bible says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." And also in 1 John 1:7, "and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." He can make you whole! Will you mind praying this prayer with me: Loving Jesus, I am a sinner. I persecuted your people, I did wrong, please forgive me and forget all my sins. Let not your judgment come in my life. Please give me your grace to love you and your people. Jesus, I invite you to come into my life. I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Lord Jesus, please give me a clean life. I will walk in your ways. Thank you Jesus for listing to this prayer. Exodus 20:7, "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain." Name of the LORD is considered most Holy and Sacred and God prohibits using it for vain purposes. Now when we read in Quran we find a contrary commandmentAl-Ma'idah (The Table Spread) Sura 5:4 They ask thee what is lawful to them (as food). Say: lawful unto you are (all) things good and pure: and what ye have taught your trained hunting animals (to catch) in the manner directed to you by Allah. eat what they catch for you, but pronounce the name of Allah over it: and fear Allah. for Allah is swift in taking account. Al-An'am (The Cattle)Sura 6:121 Eat not of (meats) on which Allah's name hath not been pronounced: That would be impiety. But the evil ones ever inspire their friends to contend with you if ye were to obey them, ye would indeed be Pagans. We do not see this type of command in Old Testament or New Testament. But contrary to it, God says, "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain."Bible also considers taking God's name for swearing or saying the things which God did not say i.e. false prophecy as sin. Bible says in Leviticus 19:12, 'And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the LORD."We see that land is polluted and one of the reasons was by swearing and lying ( Hosea 4:1-2) God is charging Israel for their broken covenant saying that there is no truth or mercy Or knowledge of God in the land. Why? It says further, "By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed."Bible tells us that swearing and lying is sin before God. Not only that, if a person speaks anything which is not from God, then also it is considered as sin as we read in Jeremiah 23:31-32, "Behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who use their tongues and say, 'He says.' "Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," says the LORD, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the LORD."It is inevitable that true as well as false prophets will come but we have to discern whether they are from God or not. Many a times I asked the Muslims, how Mohammed was considered a prophet while there is not a single quality of prophethood in his life? Most of them said, "we believe that Mohammed is a prophet" but they could not produce a single proof why they believe. If a person claims that he/she is a prophet then we should test his/her words and see whether he/she is a prophet or not. If the things spoken by a prophet is not lining up with the Word of God(Bible) then he/she is not from God. Bible tells us in 1 John 4:3, "and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world."And we see in Quran that Mohammed simply denied the deity of Christ saying, Jesus is mere prophet and is not God as we read in An-Nisa (Women) Sura 4:171 O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. This verse says that Jesus is a mere apostle of Allah and also says, 'Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah.' While the Bible very clearly talks about the deity of Jesus and about triune nature of God.Bible also tells us in Galatians 1:8-9, "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed."So my friend, be careful when you hear or read a message. Compare it with the Bible and if it is not according to the Bible, it is not from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Again it proves that Allah is not the God of the Bible.
Praise the lord for his grace and answers to my prayers. last week i mailed my prayer request to u, our loving God heard and answerd our prayers. my wife got her h1 papers and ss number. may be in a week or 10 days i will be sending my h4 paper to the US consulate. please pray that everything should go well and i get my visa. my hope is only on the Lord. he has done many great things in my life till this day. i am verymuch thankful to Him.with faith i am praising Lord for giving my h4 visa and all finacial arrangements and my safe journey. please pray and praise the Lord along with me. Dear friend in ChristYour issue dated July 26th was very touching to me. As u have mentioned about revenge and hatred I was thinking about me. It's very difficult to live a harmonious life with others, especially even with our christian church friends.When some people who were very friendly changed their attitude and showed some kind of masked faces, sometimes I could not bear it. I sometimes hate them very badly, thinking of their crookedness. But this issue of yours touched me, which showed the forgiveness of Jesus and his words about love. Sometimes when our close friends change turn a negative attitude towards us for no specific reason, it is bitter to understand.Pray for me to have a forgiving and loving heart and live a good christian life. As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
