1 John 2:15, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

Also Bible says in Galatians 6:8, "For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life."

Bible draws a very clear and distinctive line between sin and righteousness. Bible tells us very clearly that living in sin will lead to death and destruction. Living according to flesh will lead to eternal death and destruction. But how many of us are aware that we are heading towards eternal doom because of our sins? Many do not even care about eternity. Many do not even worry where they are going. They are lost in the glitters of this world.

I studied about a type of plant called "Pitcher plant". It has a shape like a pitcher and a lid over it. The lid is beautiful and attractive. whenever any insect looks at this lid, they are attracted towards this. But they do not know that it is a trap laid for their lives. They are not aware of the danger and consequences of going and taking nectar from that plant. As soon as they go inside the pitcher the lid closes and they can not come out of it by any means. Soon the digestive juices digest them.

I also read in a scientific magazine about a tree that grows in Africa. The tree plays beautiful music in daytime. And when night draws this tree produces the voice of a crying woman. If a person tries to go toward that tree thinking of helping a woman then the branches of this tree wraps around him and within its clasp it sucks his blood.

Does it not tell us of our story? Many are attracted by all kinds of senseless things of this world though it looks good and attractive from the outside but they do not realize that the attraction is only a trap for their lives. They are living, as they want, drinking, going to nightclubs, and changing wives after wives or husbands after husbands. Some think that life is too short so enjoy it.. But they do not know that they are heading towards a big trap from where no one can escape. Bible tells us in Proverbs 7:22-23, "Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks, Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it would cost his life."

Yes, there are consequences of sin. If you sow sin, you will reap death because Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23) By sowing sin you can not reap goodness or mercy of God but the judgment of God is waiting for you. Bible also tells us in Galatians 6:8, "For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life."

Yes, my friend, are you running after the attractions of this world? Are you thinking that there is nothing wrong in living your life your own way and walk as you want. But there is danger ahead. You are heading to eternal death and destruction. You are trapped by devil in his snare. But I want to tell you there is a way out. You can escape this death and destruction. 2,000 years ago, Jesus came down in this world to pull us out of this snare of death and destruction. He gave His precious life for us. He shed His precious blood on the cruel cross so that we may live eternally with Him. My friend, God did His part, now it is your turn. You must accept the work of the cross to escape death. Yes, God wants to give you eternal life. This life is far more beautiful than any worldly pleasures. This life is far more wonderful than any worldly attractions. Are you ready to get this life for you, then please pray this prayer with me:

Dear Jesus I am a sinner. I lived my life as I wanted but now I repent from my sins and turn to you. Please forgive and forget all my sins and please give me a new life which is pleasing to you. Jesus, I want to go to heaven. I do not want to lose my life, but I want to live eternally with you . I accept you as my Lord and Savior today. I know that you are washing me with your precious blood and giving me new life, so I thank you. I pray this prayer in Jesus name, Amen.

Allah and Elohim - Are they same God? part 22

Exodus 20:12, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you."

This is one of the commandments of God which God gave to Moses. Out of the ten commandments this is one. How much importance God gave to relationship and family life. Family life is instituted by God and God wants that our homes may be God centered with godly children who fear God. And in this commandment God says to children, "honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you."

Bible tells us about the sons of priest Eli in 1 Sam 2:12, "Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD." And further the Bible says that they used to take the meat which were to be offered to God. They lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. When Eli heard all these things, he tried to tell them that it is not right. But they did not heed to the voice of their father as we read in 1 Sam 2:25 "If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?" Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the LORD desired to kill them."

Sons of Eli did not heed to the voice of their father but they did what they wanted and we see the consequences of their sin. They had no blessing in their lives and they died a miserable death. Bible tells us that the Israelites fought with Philistine and could not prevail against them and the ark of God was captured; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, died. Also we read further that when Eli heard all these things and heard that the Ark of God was captured, he fell from his seat and died. Not only that, his daughter-in-law, Phinehas' wife who was with child and due to be delivered; when she heard the news that the ark of God was captured, and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she also died.

We see the consequences due to the sin of Eli's sons how God's judgment came upon the whole family just because they did not obey their father. Yes, my friend God wants you to raise your children in His fear and in discipline so that they obey their parents. And when it happens His blessings will come upon you and your children. He will give long life and satisfy with all goodness.

But when we come to Quran we see that the pattern of marriage is changed in Quran. Instead of marrying one woman, Quran says that you can marry 4 women and keep as many concubines as we read in

An-Nisa (Women)
Sura 4:3 If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice.

Marriage is no longer a sacred act according to Quran as Allah gave permission to marry more than one woman. When marriage is not a sacred act and not between one man and one woman then how the children will obey their parents?

God of the Bible gave clear instruction saying, "that you must honor your mother and father so that you may live long in the land which He gives you." But we find that in Quran that there is no instruction of honoring mother and father. We read a few of the commandments in this Quranic verses but still there is no sign of the commandment of honoring our mother and father.

Sura 60:12 O Prophet! When believing women come to thee to take the oath of fealty to thee, that they will not associate in worship any other thing whatever with Allah, that they will not steal, that they will not commit adultery (or fornication), that they will not kill their children, that they will not utter slander, intentionally forging falsehood, and that they will not disobey thee in any just matter,- then do thou receive their fealty, and pray to Allah for the forgiveness (of their sins): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

If Allah is the same God of the Bible then the question is, "why Allah did not give this commandment which He gave to Moses written by His own finger?" Did He forget what He gave to His people a few centuries back? Why He should change the pattern of marriage? In my opinion there is no other reason but Allah is not Elohim/Yahweh God who gave commandments for our benefit and for our blessings. But Allah tried to destroy and tear off our family lives. Allah tried to make division among husband and wife and children. So Allah is in no way God of the Bible.

I am very happy to inform you that with the divine grace of our beloved Lord, my son Abhay has undergone the head surgery for implanting the shunt very successfully on 11 th of July and is recovering very fast.

Doctors say that this surgery will be a major turning point in his life and his congenital problems may diminsh once for all.

This would not have been possible without your kind prayers and good wishes and I am greatly indebited to you for the same.

Please continue to pray for our family so that we may lead a peaceful and happy life.

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 13th Jan. 2009

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 13th Jan. 2009

Printed Version of the Magazine

We are excited to announce that we are starting printed edition of the magazine that will be monthly. And will contain all the four or five issues of a month. Our online magazine will still be free and can be read via email or on our website
