We have approached at the end of this year. This year had many calamities and tragedies in various parts of the world. Many thousands died due to Gujarat earth quake, World Trade Center bombing and other incidents which took place on all over the world. Many lost their loved ones, many are in tears and totally broken. But the Bible says in Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."Yes, no matter what may happen in our lives, if we love God and trust God, He will change those evil events for good. Let us forget our past hurt, pain and sorrow and press toward the things that God has kept for us which is more glorious and more valuable. You may think it is easy to say but not easy to go through this. That's right, it is not easy to go through terrible problems but Jesus who went through terrible sufferings, heart breaks, pain and finally died on the cruel cross understands when you go through these sufferings. He suffered for whole humanity to give the peace that world can not give. Today His peace is available for you. If you are hurting and are in pain, look to Jesus, He can help you.When I look back and think about this year, my heart is full of praise toward God because He kept us all in His mighty hands and protected us from all evil. Many could not see this day but the Lord graciously allowed us to see this day. In the midst of terrible problems He held us and sustained us. Let us praise God for the mighty deeds He did in our lives in this year. Let us glorify His mighty name and let us expect His goodness and blessings in this coming New Year. There is not much time left in returning of Jesus Christ, let us prepare for His glorious return. We thank you very much for the beautiful cards and Christmas and New Year wishes sent to us.
Exodus 33:14, And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."These are the words spoken by God for Moses, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." And Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." He will give you rest in this New Year and protect you:What does it mean when God says, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest"? When I was a small child and whenever my parents had to go somewhere, my elder sister's presence gave me a feeling, as if I am safe. I slept without worrying anything because I knew that there is someone bigger than I who can handle if anything happens. In the same way when God comes and walks with us we need not to worry for anything. When Israelites came out of Egypt and when they looked back they saw Egyptian army was following them. They were terrified and they started crying. But Moses said to them in Exodus 14:13-14, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."And further we read in Exodus 14:19, "And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night."God literally went with them and protected them from all danger, destruction and death. In this New Year God is going to go before you and will give you rest. He will give rest to your weary soul that is tormented by devil, oppression and hardship. He is going to protect you from all evil, death and destruction. He will give you victory:Third thing we see that when God went with them they got victory over their enemy. Enemy could not overcome them nor could destroy their lives. In this year God will go with you and give you victory and protect you from all the plots of enemy. He will restore your life:The same God who restored the lives and peace of Israelites will restore your life. You may be in total despair and devastation. You might have lost all your hopes but God is going to restore your life and peace in this year. He will comfort you in this new year:The Bible says in Lam 1:16 "For these things I weep; My eye, my eye overflows with water; Because the comforter, who should restore my life, Is far from me. My children are desolate Because the enemy prevailed."The above verse says that the reason of my sadness is because the comforter is far from me, who should restore my life. Who is this comforter? None other than Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God. Jesus said in John 14:26-27, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."Are you broken hearted today? Do you think you have no comfort or peace in your life? Invite the comforter in your life. When the comforter will come, He will give you all comfort and take away all your pain and sorrow from your life. He will restore your life. Jesus came for the very purpose to comfort all who mourn as we read in Isaiah 61:2.Yes, when Jesus went back heaven He sent His Spirit for those who believe. When Holy Spirit comes in our lives, He gives comfort and peace. In this New Year God is going to give comfort to those who are mourning. He will wipe away your tears. He will restore your life. Holy Spirit will move mightily in this new year and will heal this nation.He will raise young people who will bear the burden of others:Moses prayed this prayer in Numbers 11:14-15, "I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me. If You treat me like this, please kill me here and now; if I have found favor in Your sight; and do not let me see my wretchedness!"And God told him in Numbers 11:16-17, "So the LORD said to Moses: "Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and officers over them; bring them to the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you. Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone."In this New Year God is going to raise young men and women whom God will give His Spirit and they will cry for this generation. He is going to raise mighty men and women of prayer they are going to be filled with His mighty power and authority. They will bear the burden of others and travail for them in spirit. They will share the tears and burdens of people and bring the message of hope for hopeless. They will bring healing and restoration. Yes, those days are at hand when God's mighty outpouring of Holy Spirit about to take place. He is going to pour out His Spirit on every flash as Joel prophet prophesied in Joel 2:28-29, "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days."Yes, my friend, God is going to move mightily, do you want to be a part of His mighty army? Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and receive the Holy Spirit in your life. And start rescuing the perishing souls.
In this year when Americans and people from various parts of the world went through terrible tragedies and tears may God fill their hearts and minds with His divine peace and give them all comfort. I know that it is a very difficult moment for many people who lost their loved ones! As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
