Philippians 4:7, " and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Bible says of the God who gives peace that passes all understanding. In Old Testament we read about a woman named Hannah who was in total devastation. She was in agony because she was a barren woman and also because Peninnah provoked her severely, to make her more miserable, as the LORD had closed her womb. So she wept and did not eat.. (1 Sam 1:6-7). She was in misery and pain. Her heart was full of pain and sorrow. Her husband's comforting words could not help her to live peaceably nor could he remove the pain from her heart.

But she went to the temple and prayed to God as we read in 1 Sam 1:10, "And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish." When Eli saw her lips moving and no words coming out of her mouth, he misunderstood her and said, "How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!" But she says in 1 Sam 1:15, "No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD."

Yes, this was the condition of Hannah who had no peace no joy in her life. But when she looked towards God and poured out her soul before Him, God answered her prayers and gave her not only peace of mind but also her heart's desire. The Bible says in 1 Sam 1:18, 'that she prayed and said, "Let your maidservant find favor in your sight." then she went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.

She did not get a child right away. But she got peace right away that it made her face bright. The peace that God gave her, stayed in her heart therefore and that was the reason why the Bible says that her face was no longer sad. This is the divine peace that God alone can give. This is the peace that passes all understanding. You may be going through the worst storms of your life but yet you can live in perfect peace in the midst of the storm. The same God who gave peace to Hannah can give you His peace that passes all understanding.

Once I read about an evangelist who went through the most tragic moments of his life when he heard the screams of his wife and daughter from a burning boat and could not do anything except to stand helplessly. In those painful moments these words birthed in his heart that became a very famous song, "all is well, all is well with my soul". David says in Psalms 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."

My dear friend, are you going through terrible pain and sorrow? There is a God who can help you, His name is Jesus. He came in this world and took all our pains, all our sorrows and sufferings upon Himself to give us perfect peace - the peace that can not be shaken under any situation the peace that you can enjoy in the midst of terrible pain and sorrow. If you want this peace in your life, ask Jesus to come into your life. When He comes in He will change everything from your life. He will wipe away all your tears and give you the peace that passes all understanding.

If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. We will pray for you.

"Allah and Elohim - Are they same God?" Part 8

By Sherly Isaac

Leviticus 11:45, "For I am the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy."

From Genesis to Revelation the Bible tells us that God is holy and we must live a holy life. Genesis 17:1, "When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless." Here God directs Abraham to remain blameless. So we can see that God wants us to live a spotless, blameless or pure life and to walk in His holiness, as He is holy. But we do not see the qualities of Yahweh/Elohim (the God of the Bible) in Allah. Mohammed the founder of Islam did not live a clean life. He not only married his adopted son's wife but justified himself giving a new rule for the follower of Islam as we read in

The Clans, The Coalition, The Combined Forces

Sura 33:37 Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled.

But Bible considers it as adultery. God gave the ten commandments to Moses and one of the commandment was "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's." (Exodus 20:17)

Also God gave Moses Laws so that a person can get forgiveness of their sins by the sacrificial lamb. And Jesus the lamb of God came for the very purpose to take away our sins. But Muslims say that, "it is arrogance to say that our sins are forgiven. No one can know that their sins are forgiven before the Day of Judgment." Mohammed asked forgiveness to Allah but Quran does not say whether his sins were forgiven. But he died in fear and gave the same fear to the followers of Allah. I asked many, "what if you die today, where would you go?" They said, "we are in between fear and hope. We can not say for sure but on the Day of Judgment we will be admitted in heaven." And Mohammed the founder of Islam said to his daughter and aunt in a Hadith that he cannot save them from the punishment.

Abu Huraira related that when the verse, "Cause thy near relatives to fear," was revealed to the Prophet of Islam, the Prophet arose and began to proclaim: "Oh people of the Quraysh, and you sons of Abdul Manaf, and you Abbas, son of Abdul Muttalib, and you, Safiyyah my aunt, I cannot save you from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection. Take care of yourself, O my daughter Fatimah; you may use my property, but I cannot save you from God. Take care of yourself" (Bukhari).

Mohammed said about himself as we read:
Abu Huraira reported that the Prophet of Islam said: "No one of you will enter Paradise through his good works." They said: "Not even you, O Apostle of God?" "Not even I," he replied, "unless God cover me with His grace and mercy. Therefore be strong, and morning and evening, nay every moment, try to do good."

But contrary to this, all the prophets of the Bible were sure that their sins were forgiven and they were sure of going to heaven. Jesus said in John 5:24, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."

Yes, if you are in Christ Jesus you need not to fear of punishment of judgment. You need not to be in between fear and hope but Jesus gives assurance of heaven by forgiving our sins.

Shedding innocent blood is abomination to God:
Prov 6:16-17, "These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,"

Bible says that shedding of innocent blood is abomination to God and God cannot tolerate it, but Mohammed the founder of Islam made rules of Jihad saying that those who speak anything against Islam, Allah, Mohammed or about their rules may be brutally killed.

So we can see that God of the Bible is not Allah. Both are different from each other and the characteristics of the God of the Bible and Allah do not match. God of the Bible is holy while Allah is not holy. God of the Bible forgives our sins and gives us eternal life while Allah does not forgive sins nor gives eternal life. God of the Bible says that shedding innocent blood is abomination while Allah does not consider it as abomination.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
