Last week we celebrated Easter. What is your reaction regarding Easter when you come across continuous debates whether Jesus had really risen from the dead or not? Apostle Paul says in 1 Cor 15:14-17, "And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up; if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Let us examine whether Jesus had really risen from the dead or not! We read in the 27th chapter of Matthew that after the death of Jesus the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate and demanded saying, "Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, 'After three days I will rise.' Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, 'He has risen from the dead.' So the last deception will be worse than the first. Pilate replied, "You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how." So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard." So we see that Pilate put guards at the tomb and sealed it securely so that no one could steal the dead body and claim that Jesus is risen from the dead. Not only that, they put a big stone at the door of the tomb. If someone dared to break the seal which was put by Pilate and opened the tomb it could have meant welcoming his own death. But we see that on the third day after the burial of Jesus the seal was broken and the tomb was empty. The Bible says in Matthew 28:1-2, "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. Mat 28:4, "And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men." Before the eyes of the guards the angel rolled the stone, broke the seal and opened the tomb. How much more evidence we need? It was the seal of Roman Government and no one would dare to tamper with it when the guards were constantly watching over the tomb. Many think that Jesus might have slipped from that tomb and somehow came out and showed Himself as risen Lord. But it is highly improbable that Jesus who was beaten so badly before His crucifixion who went through immense pain and sufferings as He had to carry the cross through the rough path, who was nailed on the cross, who was nailed with the crown of thorns on His head, who died due to excessive bleeding could do that. Moreover Jesus' death was confirmed by one of the soldiers as seen from John 19:33-34, "But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out." Water with blood coming out is a sign of sure death. If we assume that Jesus did not die and somehow he could act as dead, then also how is it possible that He could survive for three days in the tomb when he was already in such a bad shape and how come He come out from the tomb and show Himself as a triumphant person? We can easily overlook the witness of one or two people but the Bible says that more than 500 people saw Him after He arose from the dead. Yes, my friend, Jesus is really risen from the dead and He is still alive. He broke the bondage of sin, suffering, tears, brokenness, pain and death. He went through all these sufferings but came out triumphantly. His glorious resurrection not only gives victory over eternal death but gives victory over every sin, pain, sufferings and tears. If you want to come out from your sins then look to Jesus who became victorious over sin and He will give you victory. If you are going through pain and sufferings look to Jesus who understands our pain and sufferings because He Himself went through all of these but came out victoriously. Allah and Elohim - Are they same God? part -7

Leviticus 11:45 'For I am the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. Ezekiel 18:4, ".....The soul who sins shall die." God of the Bible is Holy and there is no sin in Him. He can not tolerate any kind of sin whether small or big. But according to Quran we can see that Allah does not show any quality of Holiness. Also the Bible very clearly says that punishment awaits for sinners as those who sin shall die. Yes, for sinners there is eternal death. But the question is, "are we all not sinners?" Yes, we are all sinners but there is a way out to escape from eternal death and the punishment of God. God gave Laws to Moses and said in Leviticus 17:11, "'For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul." It was for the same reason that the Israelites used to sacrifice animals for the atonement of their souls so that they may get life and live forever. That was the reason why God said to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 18:32, "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!" But from Quran we read a totally contradictory statement by Allah as he says in The Noble Quran, Sura 3:185, "Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception." In this verse Allah says that every soul shall taste death. It does not distinguish whether sinners' or righteous' soul shall taste death and also Allah does not promise life for his believers. On the contrary Jesus promised life - Eternal life for His believers as we read in John 3:15-16, "that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Not only that, when we read Quran we see some strange things. Quran says that in heaven one man will get many beautiful virgin girls for companion as we read in Sura 44:51-55, "...Yes and We shall wed them to dark-eyed houris. (beautiful virgins)" Sura 52:17-20, "They shall recline on couches ranged in rows. To dark-eyed houris (virgins) we shall wed them..." Rivers of wine in heaven: Sura 47:15, (Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)? Not only in this world we look to these things as abomination and sin then how it is possible that God will allow these things in heaven? When Adam and Eve sinned, their sin was simple disobedience towards God. But God could not tolerate it and punishment came upon them on this earth and on their lives. And these curses are still in this world and on us. How is it possible that a holy God will allow these types of atrocities in heaven? Again it proves that Allah is not a Holy god nor has he anything to do with the God of the Bible. God of the Bible is Holy and there is no sin in Him. He loves those who repent and turn to Him and leave their unrighteousness. That's why He says, "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!" My dear brothers and sisters, you can live, you can have life in you. A life that is eternal, that is not going to fade away anymore but is everlasting. Yes, turn to almighty God and live forever. If you want this eternal life please pray this prayer with me: Dear Jesus I am a sinner and I know that with all my sins and sinful nature I cannot get into heaven. I come before you and confess all my sins to you. Please forgive all my sins and wash me with your precious blood which was shed on the cruel cross. Lord Jesus I invite you in my life as my Lord and Savior. From now on please lead me into your ways and when I finish my course in this world please take me into heaven. Thank you Jesus for hearing this prayer. I pray in Jesus name, Amen.
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 12th Aug. 2008
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 12th Aug. 2008
