When today many, many homes are broken and many do not have any hope for a future, there is a ray of hope that is Jesus. The Bible says in Ps 55:22, "Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." Yes, My friend He cares for us and does good things in the life of His children as the Bible says in 1 Cor.2:9, "But as it is written: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'"

I am publishing the life story of Sis. Janice, and her AOL screen name is Dumplyn52. You will read how she was able to restore her marriage life with the help of Almighty God. You may be on the verge of divorce. But Jesus can heal your broken relationship and He is able to give you a happy home.

If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. We will pray for you.

Jesus He who holds my future

By Janice

My name is Janice. I was born September 30,1943 in Johnson City Tenn. I was 1 of 3 girls. I feel that God has had his hand on my life since birth . Although I was never perfect, I always had high morals. When I was a little girl we went to church and my dad got his calling to preach. One night he stood up in the middle of the bed asleep and started preaching on John 3:16. Dad got away from his calling for many years, because the members were arguing at a business meeting. So we we're out of church, but still I was raised with good morals,

At the age of 19 I was married, and from the beginning our marriage was total chaos! I will not go into all the details, but I turned to the only person that understood and that was God. I went to church one Sunday morning and the preacher preached and gave the altar call. I held back and didn't go forward. He looked directly at me and said "You will come back to night and you won't be able to hold back." Well that's what happened - I did go forward and gave my heart to God. Did the troubles get better? NO. They increased. But I had God to cling to. I started talking and asking dad to go back to church. Me and the pastor of the church he was saved in started talking to him and praying for him and soon he returned back to God. We started evangelizing. He preached and I sang in a quartet. We went into all the churches in the area.

I was Blessed with 2 kids 14 months apart, a hubby that wouldn't work, did what he wanted to do and told me what to do (EVERYTHING), except he didn't tell me about serving the Lord. Well our marriage got worse and worse and the finances - well we had none. All my folks were badgering me to divorce so I could get financial help.

I would pray and cry and talk to God and the answer would always be "wait." The more I prayed the worse it got, the more God said "no divorce." Then I got to thinking maybe it isn't God. Maybe it was me and what I wanted. So I filed for divorce. Everything was all set up, the case was in court one day before hearing. My husband came to me... Now you would have to know my husband, he was a person that would never change his mind for anything or anybody and cried a tear NEVER. He begged me not to divorce, that he had a job and he would work and take care of us. I decided to try him on it .

Well things got a little better, but still not the Cleaver family. He still wanted his way, but things started changing, to make this long story short.

I put my dependence in the Lord to lead me and guide me in all things. His sis and mom moved to Florida. He got into trouble on the job so I felt God was saying "Move to Florida." I asked dad to pray about us leaving .He did and in a few days he called me to him and said "Honey I think it will be the best thing for you if you go to Florida. It will be like losing my right arm but I think God is saying yes."

So here we go - sell what we have, get in the car, that's it the car, 2 kids, and what we can pack into the car. And to Florida we go. We moved into his mom's 1-bedroom apartment and that was January 13,1976. I went to work soon as we arrived. In 2 weeks my husband went to work. We we're renovating apartments.

In March we moved into a 3-bedroom, 2-bath apartment and I found enough furniture that people had moved off and left behind to furnish that 3 bedroom apartment. Did our problems stop? No, but God was still with me and things kept improving .We have been in Florida for 21 years. Lots and lots of things the enemy has brought my way BUT, when I learned that I was fighting the enemy and not my husband, things turned around. We now drive a brand new van, pay no rent or power, and my hubby works where he lives and we are happier than we have ever been in our life. Do we still have obstacles? Of course. But God is faithful. We celebrated our 35th year of marriage this year. Why did it last? Because I was good? No, because I listened when God spoke.

The flesh said divorce. God saw the future. He saw the good in my husband. When no one else could see ANY good, God looked deep inside hubby's heart and saw that he was a good man. I praise Him for saving me, for saving my marriage and for hubby giving in to His salvation in the near future. If I could leave you folks with one thing if you have a troubled marriage: Work at it, don't give up or give in. Give it to God. Be still and listen and know that HE IS GOD AND HE IS IN CONTROL.

God has also given me the gift of being able to pray for, listen to, and counsel with folks. I do a lot of that on aol. I also have the gift of poetry, not perfect but I love to write. I praise God for His gift and all the blessings He has given me.

May God bless you!!

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 8th Dec.. 2015

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 16th Nov. 2015
