Ezekiel 37:9, Also He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live."

This chapter talks about dry bones in valley where there was no sign of life or hope. There were very dry bones in that valley were the Spirit of God took Ezekiel. And God asks Ezekiel, "Son of man, can these bones live?" He answered, "O Lord GOD, You know." Again He said to him, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 'Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: "Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. "I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the LORD."'

Then Ezekiel prophesied on those dry bones and suddenly he heard a big noise and rattling sound and all the bones came together bone to bone, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. Also God said to him, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live."' So he prophesied as God commanded him, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

Yes, there was absolutely no life or any sign of life but very dry bones. Ezekiel prophesied on the dry bones and bones came together, sinews and the flesh came upon them and skin covered them still there was no life in them. They were just dead people. But God told him to prophesy, "and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live."'

You may be in the same situation today. Your hopes and dreams may be dry as dry bones and you may have lost all your hopes. But within few moments I am going to prophesy over your dead situations. I am going to ask God to send His life giving breath on your dried up dreams and hopes. I am going to pronounce life on your dried up future, dried up finances that the breath of life will come and breathe life on every area of your life. There is a God who wants to give you abundant life. He wants to give you a life full of blessings and happiness.

Further we read in 11th and 12th verse that God said to him, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, 'Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!' "Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

Yes, my friend, your bones may be dry, and your hopes and dreams might have died and buried long ago. Layers after layers might have heaped up on your dreams and hopes. But God says, "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel." God can open those graves where all your dry bones, dead dreams and dead hopes are and cause you to come up from your graves. His breath has power to give life in your every dead situation.

We read in Genesis about Abraham and Sara that they had no children. Days, months and years passed by but they had no children and it really did hurt him and his wife. And we read in 15th chapter of Genesis 1-10 verses that God appeared to Abraham in a vision saying"Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward. But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?" Then Abram said, "Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!" And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, "This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir."

Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. Then He said to him,"I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it."

God promised and specifically told Abraham that He will give a child to him but as he advanced in age all his hopes were faded away. God told him inGenesis 17:5, "No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have
made you a father of many nations." But it was hard thing for Abraham to swallow as we read inGen 17:17, "Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?"

Yes, Abraham and Sarah's all hopes and dreams of a child were dead and buried long ago. But God did a mighty miracle in their lives and gave a son named Isaac. He is the same God and has not changed a bit. What He did for Abraham will do for you. God breathed life in their dreams. He cased those dreams to come alive that were dead and buried in grave of hopelessness. Do you have dead dreams today? Do you think that your dreams will never come true? You might have lost all your hopes. Look to Jesus who is the all mighty God who made Abraham's dream come true and there is nothing impossible with Him. He can breathe a new life in your dead and buried dreams.

Bible also tells us about great famine in Samaria in 2 Kings 6:25, "and indeed they besieged it until a donkey's head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver."

This was the condition of Israelites and they lost all their hopes of a good food or good life. They were eating their own children. But God did a mighty miracle in that land. God put confusion in enemy camp and they left everything in camps and ran away. Israelites had lots to eat within one day.

Yes, there is a God who can do mighty things in your life. He can make your dreams come true. Let us pray. Lord Jesus I prophesy over every dead situations, every dead dreams, every dead hopes, every dead futures that let your life giving breath may come from all four directions and breathe life in every dead situation. Bring every dead dream come true and restore every dead future. Breathe new life in every area of their lives. I pray in Jesus name Amen.

Angels in the Alley

This is a True incident which happened in the life of a young Student sometime back, donno, if u had already read it. This incident brings to my remembrance the fullfillment of Psalms 91: 11 & 12. Yes Our God is God who gives refuge to his children who call him in truth no matter in which ever situation you are in, he immediately answers to our Call for protection, refuge and comfort.

Diane, a young Christian university student, was home for the summer. She had gone to visit some friends one evening and the time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than she had planned. Evening came & Diane had to walk home alone. But she wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked "God" to keep her safe from harm & danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley, she noticed a man standing at the end, as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy & began to pray, asking for "God's" protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness & security wrapped around her; she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man & arrived home safely.

The following day, she read in the paper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley, just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy & the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety & to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed & immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down & confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery & asked if there was anything they could Do for her, she asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her."

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF PRAYER!".

"God is our Refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble". Psalms 46:1
"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:I wil be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him". Psalms 91:15

Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 12th Aug. 2008

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 12th Aug. 2008
