Psalms 68:4-6, "Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, And rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land." Bible tells about a God who cares for us. He is a God who has personal interest in every person. The above Psalms says that, He is a father to the fatherless and a defender of widows. May be you have no father or no one to take care of you. May be you have no one to defend your problems and listen to your things but almighty God wants to be your father and your defender. Look at the life of David. David was rejected by his own family members. When he saw Goliath defying the army of the living God, he could not resist himself and asked the people (1 Samuel 17:26) Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, "What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?". While he was talking, his brothers got angry with him, but God did a great thing through David and delivered the Israelites from Goliath. Again when Samuel came to anoint one of the Jesse’s sons to be king over Israel, then Jesse the father of David did not invite David but God chose David to be a king over Israel. Yes, my friend, may be you are rejected by your own family members and you may be considered least in your family, but there is a God who cares for you. If you look to Him, He will exalt you before others as He did in the life of David. Also we look in the life of Joseph that he was rejected by his own brothers. They tried to kill him and later on they sold him to the Ishmaelites. Joseph became a slave in Egypt. He lost every thing, his freedom, love and fellowship of his family members and went to a totally strange country. But the Bible says in Genesis 39:2, "The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian." Yes, though the brothers of Joseph forgot him God did not forget him. When he went to Egypt as a slave boy God went with him and made him a blessed person. When he went into prison, God went with him and there also he was a blessed man. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, then you are not alone. When you go through problems, when you go through tears, He will come with you and make you a blessed person. Joseph might have thought, "My future is over, my good days are over", but no, after all the trials and tribulations, he came out from his miserable condition and was exalted in a strange land. Yes, Jesus can do the same thing for you. The Bible says in Psalms 146:9, "The LORD watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down." What God has done for other, He will do the same thing for you because He changes not as we read in Hebrew 13:8, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."If you have any prayer request please feel free to send it to us. Love, oh, love, is it love?
Standing in the Gap - Fasting prayer on 13th Jan. 2009
As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month. Our next fasting prayer meeting will be conducted on 13th Jan. 2009
Printed Version of the Magazine
We are excited to announce that we are starting printed edition of the magazine that will be monthly. And will contain all the four or five issues of a month. Our online magazine will still be free and can be read via email or on our websiteThere was a huge demand that we send our magazine by snail mail.
